Getting Started
TV-Presets gives you quick access to your favorite channels with customizable preset buttons. Here's how to get started:
1. Connect to Your Samsung TV
- Tap the connection status at the top of the app
- Select "Connect to TV"
- Enter your TV's IP address or let the app discover it automatically
- Accept the connection request on your TV screen
2. Set Up Your Presets
- Double-tap any preset button to configure it
- Enter the channel number (e.g., "7-1", "ESPN", "888")
- Choose a color and name for easy identification
- Tap once to switch to that channel instantly
Frequently Asked Questions
My TV isn't being detected. What should I do?
Make sure your iPhone and Samsung TV are connected to the same WiFi network. Some routers have "AP Isolation" or "Guest Mode" enabled which prevents devices from communicating. Try disabling these features or connecting to your main WiFi network.
Which Samsung TVs are compatible?
TV-Presets works with Samsung Smart TVs from 2016 or newer. Your TV needs to support Samsung's remote control API over the local network.
How do I unlock all 24 preset slots?
The free version includes 3 preset slots. To unlock all 24 slots, tap on any locked preset and complete the one-time in-app purchase. No subscription required!
Can I rearrange my preset buttons?
Yes! Long-press and drag any preset button to rearrange them in your preferred order.
Does TV-Presets collect any data?
No. TV-Presets is completely privacy-focused. We don't collect any data, use analytics, or track your usage. Everything stays on your device and your local network.
The app keeps losing connection to my TV
This can happen if your TV's IP address changes. Try setting a static IP address for your TV in your router settings, or use DHCP reservation to ensure it always gets the same IP address.
